I believe the world is divided into Nokia and non-Nokia user interface lovers.

Nokia set the gold standard in simple, usuable UI.
Who cares about a flip down mic!

The Nokia 1100 has kept the old-faithful 4 button control interface that the 3210 used.

The 3210 was popular for one reason, snake but the money phone was the t28. The Ericsson t28 was such a vastly suprior phone that there is not enough time to explian why but for a start-

1) It looked better
2) It had the flip down mic
3) You could answer the phone with a flip, how cool did that look.
4) It was smaller and so much lighter than that 32brick
5) It had a composer for top tunes of the day such as vengaboys.
6) It had tetris
7) It vibrated like a washing machine

I would go as far to say that it was the best phone i ever owned.
